The date slip
Every day has its own tear-off slip. A typical slip shows:
- the English date in large numbers, with the month,
- the Tamil month and date — for example, 1 January 2027 falls on Margazhi 17,
- the day of the week in Tamil,
- and, on fuller slips, festivals, auspicious times and more.
